The AT-LPA2 is a fully manual belt-drive turntable that combines modern engineering with high-quality sound. Its transparent acrylic chassis and platter not only look great but also provide excellent stability and vibration damping, which helps produce clear and accurate sound. To enhance sound quality further, the turntable has its controls and power supply in a separate unit. This design keeps sensitive audio components safe from electrical interference that can affect sound. An optical sensor under the spindle monitors the platter's rotation for precise speeds of 33-1/3 or 45 RPM.
The AT-LPA2 comes with an AT-OC9XEN moving coil cartridge, which features a nude elliptical stylus and high-purity PCOCC coils. This cartridge captures every detail of your records, providing a rich listening experience. Its lightweight design allows for quick responses to changes in the record groove, leading to clearer audio.
The cartridge is mounted on a specially designed aluminum headshell attached to a straight carbon-fiber tonearm. This tonearm is lightweight and tracks smoothly, using a string-type anti-skate mechanism to maintain balance. It also includes two counterweight options (110 g and 130 g) for compatibility with different cartridges.
