The Q72 is a dynamic microphone designed for miking snare drums and tom toms. It has a cardioid polar pattern that helps isolate each drum and eliminates off-axis noise and feedback. The Q72 has a frequency response of 50 Hz to 16 kHz, with a slight boost in the upper midrange to bring out the attack and clarity of drums. It also has a high SPL handling capability, allowing it to capture loud sound sources without distortion.
